IS/IT Responsible/Manager

Responsible for the provision of IT infrastructure services including desktop applications, local area networks, IT security and telecommunications.•Ensure that company’s software and hardware are maintained responsibly thereby ensuring maximum availability at all times.•Oversees the administration and routine maintenance of users software and hardware.•Ensure the smooth running of all systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision.•Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies.•Ensure that software licensing laws both local and international are adhered to.•Initiate and implement improvements in all areas of IT responsibility.•Ensure the security of data from internal and external attack.•Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems.•Coordinate and manage the list of tasks and priorities (Tracker) sent to our system supplier Comdata.•In co-operation with Comdata work hands-on in resolving specific tasks in the Tracker list. These may include:oBuild new reports and adjust/correct already existing reports.oCorrect errors in amortization schedules caused by short-comings in the system and resolve these short-comings.- Assist in developing new functionality.oPlan, co-ordinate, carry-out and document testing of new modules or functionality together with the relevant SFH staff.•Evaluate and recommend one of the alternative reporting tools for Comdata (SQL Excel, Crystal reports or Repedit).•Pre-study new business application: oParticipate in presentations and meetings with local business application suppliers in order to scan the local market.oEvaluate documentation from meetings already held together with the SFH participants.oProcess mapping: Lead/participate in mapping all relevant and business critical processes within the company, which should be considered in evaluating the different business applications.
